A planned appointment for your West Berkshire fireplace
Fully insured. HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep, number 12556. Sweeping certificates provided.
Book a chimney-sweeping appointment in Hungerford with Basingstoke-based Jones Chimney & Stoves. We sweep domestic chimneys serving open fires, wood burners and multifuel stoves using rotary power equipment. A standard sweep is £70, with a sweeping certificate provided.
Hungerford visits are arranged directly, subject to postcode and availability. Include the full property address or clear access directions when you enquire, particularly if the fireplace is at a rural property outside the town.
When the fireplace history is incomplete
Hungerford has a designated conservation area. An older building may have a fireplace that has been altered or taken out of use, so tell us what you know about the appliance and flue rather than relying on the age of the house. Previous sweeping records and photographs help us discuss the work.
A CCTV chimney inspection costs £50, or £120 when combined with a standard sweep. It provides a camera view of the accessible flue. Mention any issue you want investigated before the appointment so we can agree the scope of the inspection.
For a regularly used stove, the £100 sweep and basic stove service combines chimney cleaning with checks of accessible stove components. A complimentary stove and glass clean is already included with a stove sweep; a full basic service is a separate option.
Before you book
What should I include for an out-of-town property?
Send the postcode, property name, access directions and any parking restrictions, together with a photograph of the fireplace. Tell us whether you want routine sweeping, appliance servicing or a flue inspection so we can plan the appointment.
Call 07542 105954, email Jones Chimney & Stoves or use WhatsApp. Include your postcode, the number and type of appliances and your preferred days. We agree the appointment and work with you directly.
For a standard accessible domestic chimney, the sweep is £70. We discuss any additional work first. Please leave the appliance fully cold and clear space around the fireplace before we arrive.
