Chimney Smoke Integrity TestA chimney smoke integrity test helps assess the condition and integrity of a chimney flue by checking for potential smoke leakage through the chimney structure or into adjoining areas. The test involves carrying out an appropriate smoke testing procedure, checking for signs of leakage and identifying any concerns that may require further investigation or remedial work. This service is particularly useful when assessing an older chimney, investigating suspected flue defects or checking a chimney before bringing it back into use. Price: £130 per standard chimney. What your sweep includes

We prepare the fireplace area, sweep the accessible flue, clear the debris and explain any concerns found. Your standard sweep includes a HETAS sweeping certificate. Stove sweeps also include a complimentary clean of the stove and glass.

CCTV inspections, full stove servicing, obstruction removal, repairs, parts and specialist access are separate unless included in the service you agree with us. A sweeping certificate records the sweeping work; it does not replace an installation certificate or a structural survey.

Before you book

Send your postcode, appliance type and any concerns. Let the appliance cool fully before our arrival and leave clear access around the fireplace. For a suspected nest or blockage, let us know before the visit and leave the appliance unused pending assessment.
