Fully insured. HETAS Approved Chimney Sweep, number 12556. Sweeping certificates provided.
Jones Chimney & Stoves takes chimney-sweeping enquiries for Stockbridge and the surrounding Test Valley by appointment from Basingstoke. We use rotary power sweeping equipment for wood-burning stoves, multifuel stoves and open-fire chimneys. The standard domestic sweep is £70, including a sweeping certificate.
For a property with more than one fireplace, send the number of flues and a photograph of each appliance. Two standard sweeps at one property in the same visit cost £120: £70 for the first chimney and £50 for the additional chimney.
Open fires and stove care around the Test Valley
Stockbridge and its surrounding villages include traditional houses and country properties. We assess the fireplace you actually have rather than assuming that a visible chimney serves an open fire or is still in use. Mention a redundant fireplace, an unfamiliar flue connection or difficult access when enquiring.
Our sweeping service information explains preparation and the work included. Leave the appliance fully cold, clear space around the hearth and tell us if the opening is unusually large. We discuss any additional work before going ahead.
If the stove also needs attention, a basic stove service and sweep is £100. If your concern is inside the chimney, a sweep and CCTV inspection is £120. The two packages cover different work; describe the concern if you are unsure which to request.
