A chimney sweep and a stove service do different jobs. The £70 standard sweep removes deposits from the accessible flue and includes a HETAS sweeping certificate. The £60 basic stove service checks accessible components such as seals, glass and firebricks.
If both are due, a combined stove service and chimney sweep is £100. Please describe any known issue with the stove in advance so we can discuss whether parts or additional work may be needed.
Checking for an obstruction
If you hear activity in the chimney, see nesting material or notice that the fire draws poorly, contact us with the details before booking. An obstruction needs assessment and is priced from £60 if removal is possible. A sweep may then be needed as part of the work.

Complimentary with a stove sweep: we clean the stove and glass during the visit, at no extra charge. A full stove service, including checks of accessible seals and firebricks, is a separate option.
Booking questions
Can you check stove parts during the same appointment?
Ask for the £100 basic stove service and chimney sweep if both are needed. Send a photograph of the stove and describe any damaged seal, glass or firebrick when enquiring. Replacement parts and additional repairs are agreed separately from the standard package.
Is a camera inspection part of a standard sweep?
No. A CCTV chimney inspection is £50 separately, or £120 together with a sweep. Let us know at booking if you want a camera survey.
